Good preparation plays an essential role in the success of APEC 2017 Economic Leaders’ Week, as well as APEC Vietnam 2017. To meet the strict criteria for hosting AELW 2017, the city is required to have a modern infrastructure, a convenient transport system, international-standard accommodation facilities and services, and assured security and high-quality human resources. For this event, Da Nang has prepared nearly 22,000 rooms in about 600 establishments. During the week, designated accommodations and the whole Son Tra peninsula will be restricted to ensure the security of international and domestic delegates.

On the occasion of AELW, the Department of Tourism has worked with travel agencies to organise a programme to promote Da Nang’s tourism, providing information on the city’s events and new tourism products. APEC 2017, with nearly 200 events, tens of thousands of international delegates, including leaders of 21 member, about 1,000 leaders of corporations, as well as thousands of reporters, is expected to create new milestones in promoting the city's tourism.
