Discover the Other Side of Hue

Travellers usually come to Hue to visit the UNESCO-listed Royal monuments of the Nguyen dynasty, before moving on to their next destination. Our exclusive “On the Other Side of Hue” excursion however, offers an exceptional opportunity to escape the crowds and discover the peaceful countryside surrounding this former capital city.

Explore the countryside of Hue

The journey starts early in the morning with a local boat ride across Tam Giang lagoon. This allows travellers to enjoy the pristine beauty and romance of Southeast Asia’s largest brackish lagoon system, whilst also glimpsing into the floating lives of people in this watery environmental.

Tam-Giang-Lagoon Tam Giang Lagoon

Arriving at Con Toc pier, travellers hop on bikes and cycle along peaceful country roads, passing lush rice fields and quaint villages. To provide a deeper insight into the lives of the indigenous people, guests will stop en route at Thuy Lap village to observe the way locals create woven bamboo and rattan products, before visiting Phuoc Tich ancient village to have lunch at a local house.

Alba Hot Springs

After lunch, visitors will be able to explore this historic settlement, which is famed for its pottery-making and well-preserved ancient temples and houses. Before returning to Hue, cyclists head to Alba hot springs for a soothing soak in the natural hot water pools.
