Festival

Participate in the festivals is one of the numerous ways to discover the local culture, cuisine and traditions. From late October to early & mid-November, many countries in Southeast Asia are blooming with festivals to celebrate the end of Green Season and the Buddhist Lent. Needless to say, there is a lot to be discovered when traveling to this side of the world at this special period of time.

Have you ever wondered what it’s like to be a tour guide in Southeast Asia? Today we talk to Mr. YAE VAR – Tour guide in Laos about his experience working for ASIA DMC, his tips when travelling during the festive season and the best places to visit.

When Mr. KHONG THANH BINH doesn’t show travellers around, he is on the road himself. "I feel the best in a destination when I go explore by myself, meet the people and learn about the local culture and lifestyle on my own”. In our recent interview with Mr. Binh - a Biking Guide, he also shared with us his profession, his best working moments and his travels.

Taking place in the culturally diverse capital of Shan State, the Taunggyi Balloon Festival is celebrated once a year on the second Festival of Lights after Buddhist Lent, a Myanmar national holiday that marks the end of rainy season. This year, the festival will be held from 28th October to 4th November.

Indulge your senses and reconnect with your inner self on a unique retreat in Vietnam. The highlight of the journey is a one-of-a-kind 8-night retreat program at the luxurious beachside Amanoi Resort, which is situated amidst the forests of Nui Chua National Park. The program is run by three international experts including a Qi Gong instructor and a craniosacral treatment therapist to satisfy both body and soul.
Award-winning destination management company, ASIA DMC, will further demonstrate its environmental credentials next month when Group Managing Director, Mr. Linh Le, debates the critical issue of sustainable tourism in an expert panel discussion at WTM London 2017.
