Vietnam Tourism Roadshow in Australia

The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) and Singapore Airlines launched the Vietnam Tourism Roadshow, a celebration of Vietnam as a destination this month.  Events were held in Perth, Sydney and Melbourne from August 15th -18th with ASIA DMC's Group Managing Director Mr. Linh Le as the Roadshow’s MC and Compere.

The roadshow promotes Vietnam’s potential as a tourist destination whilst highlighting potential products to the Australian trade audience. In addition it provides an opportunity for Vietnamese enterprises to seek cooperation with Australian travel agencies and research the demands of Australian tourists. It also aims to engage prominent business leaders to discuss opportunities for cooperation amongst tourism operators, and identify new methodologies aimed at stakeholders to break down barriers, find common ground and grow stronger as a whole.

The Australian market has been identified as one of the key tourism markets, since historic data has shown such growth over the years with approximately 320,000 Australian tourist arrivals in 2015. In the first 7 months of 2017, this number reached 217,977 arrivals, up 11.4% over the same period last year. This number is expected to increase in the coming months due to the expansion of air connections between the two countries, visa facilitation and the emerging trend of travelers seeking unique cultural and ecological tourism products.
