The 53-room property, which is currently known as the Azerai Hotel, is set in a building that dates back to 1914, located the downtown peninsula where the Nam Khan and Mekong rivers merge.

AVANI is the upscale hotel concept from Thailand’s Minor Hotel Group, which also operates the Anantara brand. The Luang Prabang property will become the ninth AVANI in Southeast Asia, joining five hotels in Thailand, two in Vietnam and one in Malaysia.
