Cam Ranh Launches Its First Four-Star International Terminal

Cam Ranh International Airport in the central province of Khánh Hòa officially opened a new terminal for international services (first phase) which has a total investment of over VNĐ3.7 trillion (US$164 million).

It is the first airport terminal in Vietnam to be built with 4-star international standards. With the capability of serving 2.4 – 4.5 million passengers each year, the new three-storey terminal T2 was put into use to ease the serious overloading of Terminal 1. After the second phase of the project is completed, its capacity could reach 6-8 million passengers per year by 2030. The terminal sits on a site of over 50,000 sq.m and is designed in the shape of a swallow’s nest – a unique symbol of the Khanh Hoa province.
