Countryside Tour in Nakhon Pathom

On this tour, travellers will be able to spend time in one of the lesser-known areas around Bangkok, Nakhon Pathom.

Nakhon Pathom is a province in Central Thailand, around 50 km northwest of Bangkok. The province's capital city, Nakhon Pathom, is one of the oldest cities in Thailand. The city's name in ancient Pali language means “the first city”.

This tour is an exciting way to experience many different specialties of the area in a short time, such as boat rides on the classic Thai long-tail boat to orchid farms, organic orchards, and lotus flower farms which are very important to Buddhist culture and worship. You will also have the chance to sample “Khao Tung Hna Tung”, which directly translates to “crusty rice with shrimp dip”, a Thai delicacy.

Additionally, the tour will stop by the Owl Art Museum, a one room museum with over 2000 types of items such as wooden toys and sculptures, kites, masks, and as the name suggests, many owl sculptures!

We will also visit some beautiful architectural highlights of Nakhon Pathom, like the Sanam Chandra Place, built in the early 20th century by King Ramam VI and used as a royal retreat, and Phra Pathom Chedi, an important holy site in Buddhism as it has existed since the 3rd century when Buddhism was just being introduced into Thailand.

The day will end with an escort back to your hotel in Bangkok, after a fun-filled day of exploration with ASIA DMC.
