Southern Provinces of Thailand On Alert for Strong Storm “PABUK”

Thailand’s Meteorological Department has issued that tropical storm Pabuk will hit the upper Southern Gulf coast region, including tourist’s popular provinces.

The storm is forecasted to make landfall tomorrow (Friday, January 4th) with a maximum wind speed of 65 to 90kilometres per hour.

Pabuk is expected to bring heavy rain to Southern Thailand over the coming days while other parts of the country will see cooler temperatures. Ferries and flights to and from the affected areas (Samui, Koh Tao, Koh Phangan,…) are cancelled and alternative touring arrangements have been made. Our teams will work closely together to limit the impact on the modification of our clients’ journey.

Again, ASIA DMC is making all necessary efforts to reduce the impact on tours through the affected areas. If your customers are currently touring with us in the regions, you have been in touch with our teams already. We want to reassure you that they are safe and that our travel advisors have been and will remain in contact with you as well as your clients to ensure their safety and their satisfaction despite the difficult weather conditions.
