GENERAL INTRODUCTION

I fell in-love with Asia when I first travelled to Indonesia in 2009. Since then I have travelled to nearly 10 different countries within Asia and I can’t wait to keep exploring this fascinating continent.
I am originally from South Arica, and was raised to have a keen interest in travelling, adventure and discovering new landscapes and cultures, whether in sunny SA or further afar. After graduating from university with a degree in branding and communications, the travel bug was biting again and my heart-strings were pulled back to Asia where I taught English for 3 years in South Korea and Vietnam. On returning home, I was certain that I had to start a career in tourism as this is where my passion truly lies. I started out as a travel agent before changing companies to join a top outdoor adventures and safari company in Cape Town as marketing and sales manager. Skip forward a few years and I find myself back in Vietnam (I just can’t get enough of this amazing country) sharing my passion for travel and Asia with as many people as possible.

FAVORITE CITY/ REGION:

Halong Bay (actually less well-known, Bai Tu Long Bay). The scenery and dramatic landscapes left me speechless from the very first moment. Not to mention the luxury cruise that was a nice change in style for me as a traditional backpacker, was just wonderful to experience. 

YOUR MOST MEMORABLE TRAVEL EXPERIENCE

My travels to Australia took me off the beaten path as I spent 2 weeks with my family sailing around the Whitsunday Islands and exploring both the crystal clear waters and the untouched pristine beaches.

MY PLAN TRIPS ARE...

My dream is to travel to South America and explore the ancient Inca Ruins as well as experience the breath-taking Angel Falls. Closer to home (aka Hanoi), I am excited to visit Myanmar and Laos, as well surf in Sri Lanka.

Geopark I'M NOT AT WORK OR TRAVELLING I'M...

Adventuring outdoors, be it hiking, biking, surfing or just lounging on the beach. I love a good book with a big cup of Rooibos tea. You will generally find me socialising at a local coffee shop and laughing the night away with my friends.
