Vietnam’s parliament has approved the extension of electronic visas for inbound visitors, which will be increased from 30 days to 90 days
In pursuit of bolstering tourism and attracting international investment, Vietnam has undertaken this shift as a part of its wider strategic efforts.
With the extended E-visa validity, the convenience for tourists and corporate travelers to experience and discover the country is expected to increase. Nationals from select Western European nations, Japan, and South Korea, who are the major contributors to Vietnam’s tourism market, are presently authorized to visit visa-free for 15 days. It is also triple to 45 days the duration of visa-free stays for visitors from certain countries.
It is important to remember that the Vietnam E-visa application procedure remains as is. Applicants are still required to provide:
Their passport details,
A recent passport-size photo, and
Settle the necessary fee online.
The new policy coming into effect on August 15, 2023, travelers planning to visit Vietnam can look forward to more flexible visa terms.
