15th February 2017Cambodia-based hotel group Grand Lion is entering the property scene in Cambodia with two hotels in Siem Reap and Sihanoukville. The 233-room Siem Reap property is scheduled to open in April, due to be branded a Courtyard by Marriott.
The Courtyard by Marriott Siem Reap Resort will be one of three Courtyard by Marriott Resorts in Asia, planned to open with a kids’ club and 600 sqm of function space.
The property in Sihanoukville will have 250 rooms at a beachside location, with construction beginning in 2017. Grand Lion Group has said the property will stand on the beach adjacent to a 688-unit residence and a retail mall. Slated to break ground in the 4th quarter of 2017, the USD160 million complex including residences should open in 2020. It will also be managed by Marriott.
