Countryside and Cooking tour in Samut Songkhram

This tour offered by ASIA DMC is a great way to not only relax but to also immerse yourself in daily local life. Samut Sakon, also known as Mahachai, is a fishing town about an hour southwest of central Bangkok

Here travellers can enjoy a variety of fresh seafood before continuing on to Samut Songkhram to see how local people in the area grow fruits and vegetables, as well as how coconut sugar is manufactured. The orchards contain some of the biggest, juiciest mangos and pomelos that you have ever seen!

After the morning’s activities, we attend a special Thai cooking class where we can of course savor the fruits of our labor with our host after it is prepared.

The day finishes with a long-tail boat cruise along the Klong Klone River to feed bananas to cute monkeys living in the mangrove forest and visit a fisherman village to see how shrimp paste, a famous product of Thailand, is made.

On the drive back to Bangkok, the tour will pass by numerous salt fields along the highway, stopping at one so you can snap a perfect photo.
