New Bus Service Links Nan (Thailand) and Luang Prabang (Laos)

A new daily bus service has been launched between Nan, a town in Northeast Thailand, and the UNESCO World Heritage-listed town of Luang Prabang in Northern Laos. 

Operating via Xayaburi, the 373km trip takes about 10 hours and buses depart from 8am in both directions. Tickets cost THB660 (approx. US$19.60).

This new service is being operated by Thailand’s Transport Co. in collaboration with Naluang Co. of Laos and is aimed at enhancing travel choices and promoting cross-border tourism. Passengers must carry passports and visas will be required visa if applicable.
